Dear colleagues,
You are invited to attend a public webinar about a Report on Institutional Capacity to Support Open Educational Practices in B.C.<https://bccampus.ca/event/report-on-institutional-capacity-to-support-open-…> on Monday, November 24, at 1:00 p.m. Pacific.
This report is based on research into B.C. post-secondary institutions and their support of open educational practices. Institutions were evaluated in six categories, including leadership and advocacy and vision and implementation. The report mirrors one done for post-secondary institutions in Ontario. Speakers will discuss how to ensure that open education is sustainable and continues to have long-term benefits for students and instructors in B.C.
Research for this report was conducted by the Inclusive Education Research Lab at Brock University in collaboration with BCcampus. Presenters include Rajiv Jhangiani, Oya Pakkal, Clint Lalonde, and Josie Gray.
We hope to see you there!
Thank you,

[image: Rebus Luminary Fellowship for Education Leaders]Dear Colleagues,
Rebus and the Leadership Learning Community are delighted to announce the
Rebus Luminary: Fellowship for Education Leaders, a transformative
experience redefining what sustainable and effective leadership can look
like in postsecondary education.
This fellowship offers a joyful, safe space for up to 15 postsecondary
leaders across Canada and the US to slow down, connect with peers, and
explore the possibilities of collective leadership. Over three months,
participants will gather for three virtual Community of Practice sessions
and a culminating in-person Summit in beautiful Vancouver, BC.
The Rebus Luminary Fellowship is grounded in Rebus’ mission to build
collaborative communities where educators can rediscover passion, purpose,
and potential in their work. If you feel called to deepen your leadership
in these challenging times, we invite you to join a community where just
work is done in joyous ways. Together, we’ll cultivate a support network,
develop actionable practices, and foster the kind of leadership that higher
education urgently needs. Leadership doesn’t have to be lonely or
exhausting; let’s make it restorative, playful, and liberatory!
Visit our website to learn more about this opportunity and for instructions
on how to apply. <https://rebus.community/rebus-luminary-fellowship/>
The application closes at 11:59 pm HST on November 23, 2025. Letters of
acceptance will be sent the week of December 1, 2025. All applicants will
receive a response from the committee in December 2025.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or the
Rebus team.
Best,
