Dear Colleagues,
Summer is almost here, and there's still time to join Rebus' Summer 2026
certificate programs, designed to support educators in creating meaningful,
open course materials.
Supplemental Materials Development Certificate (SMC)
<https://rebus.community/supplemental-materials-development-certificate/>
In this six-week collaborative course (May 18-June 30), individuals design
and build open, ancillary course materials with guidance from an expert
facilitator and a supportive cohort of peers. Every participant graduates
with at least one ready-to-use artifact for their classroom.
Registration closes April 30.

Subsidized fees and scholarships are available thanks to the William and
Flora Hewlett Foundation. Simply reach out <contact(a)rebus.community> to
introduce yourself, and share a bit about your interest!
Open Publishing Projects Certificate (OPC)
<https://rebus.community/open-publishing-projects-certificate/>
The OPC is an extended, three-phase program where teams plan, build, and
publish an open resource from start to finish, with expert guidance and
support at every stage. Email us <contact(a)rebus.community> to learn more,
express interest in the Summer 2026 cohort, or discuss timing.
Both programs award a microcredential and digital badge upon completion.
If these sound like a fit for someone you know, please pass this along.
We'd love to have them join us this summer.
If the summer timing doesn't work, reach out anyway! We're happy to discuss
options that fit your goals, calendars, and contexts.
Warm regards,
Victoria Brame (she/her)
