BCcampus Open Education: new OER and updates (January 23, 2018)

It has been used for many years and underwent five revisions. When the author and Dalhousie faculty member, Bill Freedman, passed away, his widow agreed to publish the newest edition as an open textbook. This textbook is intended to provide the core elements of a curriculum for teaching environmental science at the introductory level in Canadian colleges and universities. Hi there fellow Open Educators! Thanks to all who responded to the doodle poll for the tentative meeting next week. There wasn't a great response to the request for a meeting (I know... we are all busy) so I would like to re-schedule it to see if there are more convenient dates further along into February. The Open Education Working group would like to invite you all to a "general" meeting to discuss the strategic direction of "open" at BCIT.
