This opportunity is open to faculty, departments, working groups, instructors, and staff connected to B.C. post-secondary institutions who are interested in developing content for open textbooks using the platform H5P.
The maximum amount of each grant is $10,000.
The call closes on Friday, June 5.

I am writing to let you know about online office hours offered by BCcampus to educators in need of support shifting from face-to-face to online instruction. We are offering three sessions this week, the details of which are included below.
Working Together, Learning Together
Invitation: To educators and anyone doing the work of “pivoting online” who would like to drop in with questions, and/or to hear others’ challenges and solutions.
Who is hosting: BCcampus — a passionate group of instructional designers, learning technologists, administrators, and more!
And why… We feel the enormous challenge you are facing today and in the weeks to come. We want to offer support, particularly to institutions and educators without access to a large teaching and learning support team.

Open Textbook Collection are intended to provide constructive, helpful feedback for instructors contemplating the adoption of one or more of these textbooks.
Completed reviews are recorded on the reviewer's institution page in the Post-Secondary Directory<https://opentextbc.ca/postsecondary/> in a green textbox called "Open textbooks reviewed by..."
Starting this month, you will be copied to the acknowledgement email sent to reviewers at your institution once they have completed a review. These messages include the following information for the reviewer:
* confirmation that the completed review has been received and is now posted by the book in the B.C. Open Textbook Collection
* notification that the review content will be released with a CC BY licence (copyright is owned by the reviewer)

This second webinar will focus on the value of open contracting for various sectors. We’ll examine and define open contracting and procurement and its role in providing a more inclusive access to Government of Canada contracts, as well as explore how open contracting can help small businesses.
Join our guest speakers, Lindsey Marchessault, Director for data and engagement at the Open Contracting Partnership and a member of the Multi-stakeholder Forum on Open Government<https://open.canada.ca/en/multi-stakeholder-forum-open-government>; Lorenzo Ieraci, Senior director at Public Services and Procurement Canada; and the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business, to explore the following questions:

We often hear “Is open data really useful? Who uses open data? What value does it bring to citizens?” We often talk about open data and its potential but it can be difficult to see the real tangible impacts and how it powers innovations. This is why we’re pleased to announce the launch of our Open data user stories! Within this new section of open.canada.ca<https://open.canada.ca/en> you’ll find eight used cases ranging from organizations using open data to start and grow their business, to students completing their thesis work, to journalists creating valuable data visualizations to inform Canadians and more.

BCcampus has identified gaps in available open educational resources (OER) for marketing programs in British Columbia. BCcampus will distribute grants to B.C. institutions or their representatives (e.g., faculty members, articulation committees, teaching and learning centres, libraries, and OER working groups) in B.C. and the Yukon for the development of open educational resources in marketing that will contribute to the development of B.C.’s first Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) program in marketing. The OER Creation for Marketing grant may be used for, but is not limited to, the creation of open textbooks/ancillaries/open educational resources in the following subject areas:
* Research methods for marketing
* Consumer behaviour
* Strategic marketing management
* Integrated marketing communication
* E-marketing/digital marketing
* Marketing plan development guide
