About the Call for Proposals
The full text of the call, including the most up-to-date version of the textbook, an
application template, and the rubric we will use to evaluate applications are available

We would like this project to be collaborative and have contributors with different areas
of expertise. As such, we ask that applications are submitted on behalf of a team. We
encourage teams to have representation across roles, departments, and institutions.
Applications are due by the end of the day on May 26, 2023. The project is expected to run
from July 2023 to March 2023.
Virtual Information Session
BCcampus will be hosting a virtual information session about this project in Zoom on April
28 at 1pm PDT. This is an opportunity to learn more about the project, ask questions, and
connect with possible collaborators.

As a settler, I am grateful to live and work on Moh’kins’tsis on Treaty 7 lands, which
includes the territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai
Nations), the Tsuut’ina Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw,
and Wesley Nations). This place is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
I am also grateful for the time I’ve spent on unceded lands of the Lkwungen-speaking
Peoples and the W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples, where I completed post-secondary education and started my
work in open education. As well I am also grateful for the time I spent on unceded
Tsimshian lands, where I grew up, and Treaty 6 territory, where much of my extended family
lives.
