Hi everyone!
Hope you had a restful break! Passing on the following opportunity in case any of you are
interested.
Cheers,
Amanda
Hello and Happy New Year!
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to invite you to join a pool of peer
reviewers for the University of Leeds Open Books initiative. This programme aims to create
high-quality, openly licensed textbooks that are freely available to everyone, supporting
equitable access to education and fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing for ‘knowledge
for all’.
We welcome the involvement of faculty members as well as learning technologists, OER
professionals, pedagogy experts etc. to join our peer reviewer pool.
Peer reviewers will be fully acknowledged in the publications they contribute to.
Participation would likely involve reviewing one book, with the expected timeline being
toward the end of 2025.
You can find out more about the initiative here: University of Leeds Open Books Blog
Post<https://leedsunilibrary.wordpress.com/2024/12/17/launching-universi…s/>.
Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions - I’d be delighted to
discuss further.
I’d be grateful if you could share with educators to see if anyone is interested in being
a peer reviewer with published acknowledgement.
Thank you so much!
Best regards,
Kirstine
