If anyone is interested in learning more about H5P (usable in Moodle, Pressbooks, and Wordpress), UBC is hosting an H5P Symposium on February 21st and 22nd<https://blogs.ubc.ca/h5psymposium/>. In this multi-day online symposium, they aim to further explore how interactivity and opportunities for formative assessment can be embedded into passive learning materials with a special focus on creating interactive videos. The 2024 H5P Symposium will also explore evidence-based best practices for (a) creating good formative assessment questions, (b) providing timely feedback, and (c) how (and when) to create branching interactive videos that respond and adapt to student feedback. The Symposium will highlight H5P’s strengths and limitations, and highlight successful examples of implementation and course integration for various content types. We will also offer studio time with the support of experienced content creators to introduce you to the authoring platform and help you brainstorm how it could be used in your context.
