Dear colleagues,
I am delighted to share the news that Arley Cruthers will be joining the Open Education
team for the Spring 2020 semester as a Teaching Fellow. A recipient of the BCcampus Award
for Excellence in Open
Education<https://bccampus.ca/2019/05/30/award-for-excellence-in-open-education-arley-cruther/>,
Arley brings great experience with creating and adapting open educational resources (OER)
as well as with designing courses to integrate elements of open pedagogy in her Applied
Communications courses. If you are unfamiliar with Arley’s work, check out the latest
episode of the well-known Teaching in Higher Ed
podcast<https://teachinginhighered.com/podcast/process-over-product-in-o…n/>,
which features her as this week’s guest.
Although Arley will primarily be working to support OER and ZTC program development within
the School of Business, she will also be involved in supporting institution-wide open
education initiatives next semester.
Please join me in congratulating Arley!
Cheers,
Rajiv
