Hello all,
Please find the draft minutes from our June meeting attached. You'll notice that one
section is highlighted in yellow, as I failed to note the focus of the survey SFU
Library's summer work experience student is conducting (sorry, Hope!). Please feel
free to contact me if you notice any other omissions or errors.
Have a great day,
Lindsay

Sending email on Hope's behalf:
"Thanks Lindsay!
For the section you flagged: Reza Ghajar is a MLIS student from the UBC iSchool who is
working on a professional experience project at SFU Library. He is drafting a
librarian-targeted survey on best practices for advancing OER/open pedagogy at BC
post-secondary institutions, and hoping to share this survey via the BCOEL list shortly.
And here are a few more details about the instruction librarians group mentioned in the
meeting notes: The Metro-Van Teaching & Learning Librarians group is a recently
established and fairly informal group of librarians with instruction-focused
responsibilities and interests. The group maintains an email list, and has hosted a few
meetings over the past year or so to facilitate information-sharing, discussion and light
networking in this area. We don't have a next meeting date/time scheduled at this
point, but feel free to get in touch with me if you'd like to be added to the email
list or if you have any questions.
Cheers, Hope"
