Dear 'Open' Colleagues, 

At this time the situation of friends and relations in India are on many of our minds.  Let us hope we see more 'open access', pro-public goods solutions, that eliminates barriers to accessing vaccines, including opening IP access to vaccine 'recipe' and technology sharing commitments (see: People's Vaccine Campaign for patent free vaccines and a vaccine IP waiver).  

Related to India, I am pleased to say that an article that Satyarupa Shekhar and myself did research on some time ago in Chennai (Tamil Nadu) has finally published. The article is open access through MIT Press and IDRC (Canada) and it is part of a book that will likely be of interest to many on this list, Critical Perspectives on Open Development.
