Hello,
Much thanks for your mail.
I am also looking forward to collaborating with teachers who create OER
especially around mathematics and physics for higher education (15-18,
last years of high school), if possible in French as I teach in French,
but English is good too and produce such content myself. I am especially
searching as much for works (contents) as for experiences about the
creation (tips, pitfalls ...).
I would like that the works be under the license CC-BY or CC-BY-SA to be
usable in wikipedia and in the wiki
that is also
under CC-BY-SA, to enable easy exchanges with wikipedia (to and from)
Any help to get in contact with such works, people and teams is much
welcome.
Best regards,
Nicolas

Hello Nicolas,
Thank you for your question. I appreciate that we do have some members
of this listserv who are external to KPU; however, our Open Education
Research Fellow program is indeed aimed at developing local expertise
and providing support for regular faculty members at KPU. Having said
that, I will also point out that there are a few external
opportunities available that also provide support for open education
research. See for example:
OER Research Fellow Program <https://openedgroup.org/fellowship>
hosted by Brigham Young University
Global OER Graduate Network <https://go-gn.net/>
I hope this information is helpful.
Warm regards,
Rajiv

Hello,
Thanks for this information. Is it open to people who are members of
this mailing list but who are not "regular faculty of KPU" (which I am
not). But as this mail arrives to me even though it is written "aimed
at supporting scholarly research on open educational practices by
regular faculty at KPU" I ask the question.
Much thanks,
Nicolas Pettiaux
PS I hope that you and your dearest are all well.

*Open Education Research Fellow: Call for applicants*
Dear Colleagues,
If you’re interested in research and building upon your
experiences with Open Educational Resources (OER), the Open
Education Research Fellowship
<https://www.kpu.ca/open/research-fellowship> is for you!
Receive up to $4500 in funding for this annual
fellowship that runs from January 1 to December 31 and is aimed at
supporting scholarly research on open educational practices by
regular faculty at KPU. This may include investigations into the
cost savings, perceptions, outcomes, and use of open educational
resources (see the Open Education Group’s COUP framework
<https://openedgroup.org/coup>) as well as research on the
perceptions and impact of renewable assignments and other forms of
open pedagogy.

Hear why open is so important to our current Research Fellow:
“[Open] is a pathway for me to be student-centred for all my
students because it removes financial and other barriers that
might be exclusionary. By using OER and open pedagogy practices, I
am working with students, amplifying their perspectives,
experiences, and voices. As KPU’s inaugural Open Education
Research Fellow, I am conducting one of the first studies to
explore the perceptions of faculty and students towards open
pedagogy, in the hopes that faculty and administrators can make
informed choices about open education practices and its support.”
