Hello everyone,

I am delighted to share news of the publication of a new open textbook by Christina Page and her colleagues from the Learning Centres titled “University 101: Study, Strategize, and Succeed,” available at https://pressbooks.bccampus.ca/studystrategizesucceed/

A recipient of an OER grant, Christina and her team (which includes Graeme Robinson-Clogg, Rawia Inaim, and Vijaya Jammi, along with student assistant Anmol Mangat) have also developed 25 learning strategies videos (https://bit.ly/2IMhpvp) and soft launched two interactive Online Academic Skills Workshops (Reading Texts and Time Management for Busy Students) (http://www.kpu.ca/asw-online).

Together, these resources eliminate the need to purchase commercial learning strategies texts (e.g., in the Learning Centre, for Orientation programming), enhance student access to Academic Skills development opportunities, and increase opportunities for instructors to integrate learning strategies into their courses.
