Thompson Rivers University (TRU) has created the Indigenous Education Stock Photos collection<https://indigenouseducationstockphotos.trubox.ca/> due to a lack of open-source photos of Indigenous students for use in OER. The spirit of the photo collection is to allow educators to represent Indigenous peoples in their OER so that Indigenous students can see themselves reflected in their learning materials.

If anyone is interested in learning more about H5P (usable in Moodle, Pressbooks, and Wordpress), UBC is hosting an H5P Symposium on February 21st and 22nd<https://blogs.ubc.ca/h5psymposium/>. In this multi-day online symposium, they aim to further explore how interactivity and opportunities for formative assessment can be embedded into passive learning materials with a special focus on creating interactive videos.

[View More]best practices for (a) creating good formative assessment questions, (b) providing timely feedback, and (c) how (and when) to create branching interactive videos that respond and adapt to student feedback. The Symposium will highlight H5P’s strengths and limitations, and highlight successful examples of implementation and course integration for various content types. We will also offer studio time with the support of experienced content creators to introduce you to the authoring platform and help you brainstorm how it could be used in your context.
