Hi there fellow Open Educators!
This week the World celebrates
Open Access Week, exploring the theme – Open with Purpose, Taking Action to Build Structural Equity and Inclusion.
BCIT is proud to contribute to this discussion by co-hosting an event featuring our own
Carol Wenzel, in the faculty of biotechnology who co-produced an
open animal dissection image library. She is also wrapping up her second open education grant project, a plant anatomy and morphology image library, with co-op student Horton Lai.
This joint event also features Stuart MacKinnon from
UBC Okanagan, Alena Buis from
Langara College, and representatives from
Kwantlen Polytechnic University and
Okanagan College to talk about Open Access initiatives from their respective institutions.
The event is free and you can register here:

Hope some of you can make it!
Cheers,
Rosairo
