The Open Education working group has bene working diligently to offer a series of
workshops in February, leading up to open Education week at the beginning of March. We
hope you help us promote these workshops widely across your networks - see attached poster
- and we also hope to see some of you at the events. The first one is coming up soon on
February 13:
Workshop 1: Openly Licensed Learning Materials
What does "openly licensed" mean, and how can it apply to your work?
Join us for an introductory talk on open licenses and open learning materials.This
workshop will cover:
* Which materials can be openly licensed, including textbooks, multimedia, and more
* How to find and use open license materials
* An introduction to Creative Commons licenses, and how they relate to Open
Education
