Hello Everyone,

Here are the latest updates from BCcampus Open Education.

OpenEd updates

Students in British Columbia are getting more affordable post-secondary education, and instructors are benefiting from high-quality, innovative teaching materials, because of an investment in open educational resources (OER). Funding of $3.26 million for OER, including more open textbooks, was announced by Melanie Mark, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Training at the Cascadia Open Education Summit held at the Simon Fraser University Harbour Centre Campus.

Open textbook updates

Introduction to Financial Accounting - Third Edition will be archived on June 1, 2019. It is being replaced by Introduction to Financial Accounting: International Financial Reporting Standards (Lyryx).

New and updated support resources

This directory focuses on colleges, institutes, and universities in British Columbia and the way each: provides support for its community; uses, creates, and evaluates open educational resources; and engages in open education on campus through events, a working group, and student involvement.
