Dear fellow Open educators,

Open Education Week celebrates the worldwide achievements in Open Education. This year, this international event takes place March 6 to 10. There are lots of events happening during that week and I hope you can take some time to attend some, either virtually or in person.  Check out BCcampus calendar of events for information on what will be happening around town that week.

The celebration of Open Education Week will kick-off in style at BCIT.  Open Educator and recipient of the 2021 Teaching Excellence in Open Education, Employee Excellence Award, Julia Alards-Tomalin will present The collaborative creation of Buds, Branches and Bark: a Guide to Winter Identification in the Pacific Northwest, a BCIT OER textbook at Food For Thought on Monday, March 6, at 12:30, in the Summit Centre, Library. This is an in-person event with a light lunch provided.

Hope to see some of you there!

Cheers,

Rosario
