Hi there fellow Open Educators,
Have some great news to share... not sure how many of you have been following this process
at UNESCO, but, they unanimously adopted a new draft recommendation on
OER<https://www.oercongress.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Draft-OER-Rec…
to support the achievement of the UN's 2030 Development Agenda. Recommendations
include five objectives:
* building capacity of stakeholders to create, access, use, adapt, and redistribute
OER;
* developing supportive policy at the national level;
* encouraging inclusive and equitable quality OER;
* nurturing the creation of sustainability models for OER; and
* facilitating international cooperation.
The recommendation is expected to be approved next week at the UN General Conference next
week.
