Announcing a free summer professional development opportunity! An open course on open educational practices will run this summer from June 3 through July 28.

 

 

Course Outcomes - Participants will:

  1. Develop an understanding and appreciation for open content and open educational practices
  2. Identify potential open resources for use in their educational environments
  3. Create and edit open resources using wikis, Pressbooks, and multimedia
  4. Apply accessibility and UDL concepts to open resources
  5. Understand and apply basic instructional design concepts
  6. Develop a lesson based on open educational practices for use in their classes

  6. Accessibility and UDL
  7. Instructional Design
  8. Final Project


The course is intended as a graduate-level introduction to open educational practices. Completing all activities and participating fully in course discussions is expected to require 8-10 hours each week. However, the course is designed to support learning at all levels of engagement. If one hour a week is all you have available, you should still find the experience beneficial and rewarding.
