Hello fellow open educators at BCIT!
Wow, I don’t know where time goes… Open Education Week<https://oeweek.oeglobal.org/pages/about/> celebrations are now halfway with lots going on internationally and locally. I hope some of you have had the time to attend/participate in some of the events around town or online. Here’s BCcampus calendar of events<https://bccampus.ca/calendar-3/cat_ids~821/?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=H…>, just in case you are wondering what’s going on.
And… today the world celebrates women, their achievements and contributions to make the world a more inclusive and equitable place for generations to come! So Happy International Women’s Day<https://www.internationalwomensday.com/>!
Open AI has been in the education radar lately. I really like this post that Clint Lalonde from BCcampus shared<https://bccampus.ca/2023/03/06/chatgpt-and-open-education/?utm_medium=email…>, looking at generative AI tools through an open education lens. Happy reading!
Cheers,
Rosario
