Dear colleagues,
You are invited to participate in the BCcampus OER Support Resources Survey<https://forms.office.com/r/ht9v6iPJLu>. This survey has up to 14 questions and should take no more than 15 minutes to complete.
The purpose of this survey is to learn how BCcampus can support those who are creating, adapting, and using open educational resources (OER) for the post-secondary sector in British Columbia and the Yukon. Specifically, we are interested in what kinds of support resources are the most useful and what topics to cover.
If you know anyone who works with OER in the post-secondary sector in B.C. or the Yukon, please share this survey with them. We are looking for input from people with all levels of experience.
Please complete and submit this survey by end of day on Friday, March 18. If you have any questions or input related to the survey, send them to oerproduction(a)bccampus.ca.
Thank you,

Dear colleagues,
For several years, faculty and staff have asked for a mailing list devoted to the post-secondary open education community in British Columbia.
Today, BCcampus is pleased to introduce the BCOpen listserv, a community of practice email group for open education in British Columbia.
Anyone in the British Columbia post-secondary sector whose interest or work involves open educational resources, open pedagogy, or open education in general is invited to join. Members can ask questions about open education, promote OER projects, post opportunities and events, and ask for ideas about resources and pedagogy.
If you are a member of either the BCcampus Key Contacts or BCOEWG listservs, you will be added to the BCOpen listserv unless you opt out. If you are not interested in joining the listserv at this time, please reply to this email letting me know by Monday, March 7, and you will not be added. After this date, we will begin to add members to the BCOpen listserv. Of course, you may join or leave the listserv at any time after this date.
After March 7, you can contact this listserv by emailing bcopen(a)lists.bccampus.ca.
Thank you for being part of the open education community in British Columbia.
Best,

Dear colleagues,
On March 3, 2022, we are updating the software that hosts the B.C. Open Textbook Collection. We plan for the disruption to be minimal, but the collection may be unavailable between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. Pacific Time. Books hosted in Pressbooks will be unaffected.
If anyone needs urgent access to a book in the collection while the collection is unavailable, please email opentext(a)bccampus.ca with the name of the book and we will get you a copy. A notice on the collection will give the same instructions.
Sincerely,
The BCcampus Open Education Team

Dear colleagues,
Join BCcampus for a Women in Trades webinar<https://bccampus.ca/event/women-in-trades/>!
This is an open event for women in the skilled trades (apprentices, journey-people, and faculty) to gather for the purpose of sharing ideas, experiences, success stories, and struggles with being in the skilled trades. Building communities of practice is essential to the successful journey from apprentice to graduate. We will be hosting a few female trades faculty to share their stories and ideas on how we can encourage and promote more women to enter and, more importantly, complete their training and education in the skilled trades.
This event is on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. PST. Register for this webinar online<https://bccampus.ca/event/women-in-trades/>.
