This Open Education Week, the University of Alberta Centre for Teaching and Learning is hosted their second Open Education Symposium.
Join your open education colleagues from March 7 to 11, 2022, between about 9:30 a.m. PST to 1:30 p.m. PST every day (times vary). Collaborators from across Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario, and elsewhere will present in workshops, lightning talks, and panels. There will also be networking sessions. Dear colleagues,
An editorial team based at UBC Okanagan is putting out a call for chapter proposals for an open-access book about open pedagogy and the open education movement. This book will centre Indigenous perspectives and ways of knowing with regard to open education.
Chapter proposals can be for essays, research papers, or case studies between 4,000 and 6,000 words, excluding references. Proposals are due March 15, 2022.
Submit chapter proposals to Donna Langille (donna.langille(a)ubc.ca) and include the following elements:
* Working title
* Abstract (max. 200 words)
* Type of contribution (research, theoretical/exploratory essay, case study)
* Keywords (3–6 keywords)
* Contributor information, including full name, complete institution name, primary email address, and contributor bio (bio is max. 100 words)
More information about the project, including a more detailed publishing timeline, can be found in the attached PDF. The publication target date is summer 2023.
