Hi Krysta This is an initiative that the student union at Douglas College undertook last year and it completely failed. Faculty were extremely put off by the letter and it back fired... this past year the initiative they embarked on, that was a big success was to post a thank you to note to all of the instructors who are using OER in their newspaper and list out who is using OER and what the cost savings happen to be for each course and in total for their College.
