Hi All,
This message is cross-posted. I've had a request to provide estimates for the number
of faculty hours that are required for both creation of a new OER textbook and ongoing
maintenance of an existing work. This information will be used to develop budget numbers
for offloads. I know the hours can vary greatly based on topic, technology, and format!
But, I believe I have seen grant programs that include an assumption of the number of
hours funded. Any information about how you estimate the amount of time allocated for
large projects would be appreciated, especially in the area of business.
Thanks in advance!
Jessica

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello. SAIT is located on the traditional
territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the
Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki
and Goodstoney. We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called
Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the City of
