Dear B.C. open education community,
In 2025, BCcampus will once again be offering sponsorships for Open Education Week events hosted by post-secondary institutions, departments, student unions, and organizations in British Columbia and the Yukon.
The
call for proposals went live today and will close at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, January 20, 2025.
We ran this program in 2024 and funded ten in-person, hybrid, and virtual events, including OER evaluation workshops, faculty recognition events, and panel discussions. You can read more about the range of
events funded in our
blog post about the Open Education Week 2024 sponsorship program.
It’s very simple to apply. As detailed in the call for proposals, send an email to me, Arianna Cheveldave (acheveldave@bccampus.ca), describing the event you would
like to host during the week of March 3 to 7, 2025. Please also include basic identifying information for the lead applicant, your intended audience for the event, how much funding you would like to request up to $1000, and what specifically you would spend
the money on.
BCcampus Open Education is proud to sponsor events that will highlight open education activity at your institution, generate engaging discussions between novices and experts, and bolster the open education
community in British Columbia and the Yukon.
If you have any questions about the program or the application process, feel free to reach out to me.
Sincerely,
Arianna Cheveldave
