At the October 18 meeting, Kaitlyn Zheng from BCcampus will describe and demonstrate a new
resource in development designed to assist faculty locate open textbooks for their
courses. Using open textbooks that have been previously or are currently being used by
post-secondary instructors in B.C. as a primary educational resource in a course, the new
"Open Textbooks for Courses Finder" matches these textbooks to transferable
courses using the BC Transfer Guide. Both primary and transferable courses are identified
by course codes for precise and easy searching.
