Good morning all,
At our last BCOEL steering committee meeting, I briefly shared about a new project
I'll be working on to develop a strategy for SFU Library to increase support for OER
adoptions and advance open education more broadly on campus.
As part of this project work, I've been tasked with checking in with other
institutions (locally and perhaps more broadly) for examples of open education strategy in
action. So I would be very grateful indeed for any examples you might be able to share of
publicly available documents that articulate plans, goals, visions, statements and/or
policies that guide open education strategy at your Library and campus. I do know that
Kwantlen has an exemplary "Open Education Strategic Plan
2018-2023<https://kpu.pressbooks.pub/openeducation/>" -- and Caroline and
Karen, I would love to chat with you further about this sometime if you're willing and
able :-)
As I think this may be a topic of interest to others here as well, feel free to reply to
our list here with any examples -- or to share with me directly if you feel more
comfortable that way. I'm also happy to answer questions about this SFU Library
project work any time!
Thanks so much, Hope
