Hi Everyone,

Just a few announcements/housekeeping details based on today’s BCOEL Steering Committee Meeting:

1. Lin Brander has agreed to be the Chair Elect for the BCOEL Steering Committee. Thanks, Lin! And, I wanted to extend a big thank you to Debra Flewelling for all her work as the inaugural Chair of the BCOEL Chairing Committee.

2. BCOEL will be meeting at the Festival of Learning on Wednesday, 30 May from 12-1 in the “Port of Vancouver” room. This room is on the main conference level, close to the food.

3. Also a quick reminder that to be on the BCOEL Steering Committee, you need to be on one of our working groups. If you have not signed up for one, please let me know which one(s) you would like to join. There are currently three working groups:

a. Website and Networked Tools

i. Current members: Caroline Daniels, Lucas Wright, Michel Castagné

b. Recruitment and External Engagement

i. Current members: Brenda Smith, Debra Flewelling

c. Professional Development and Advocacy

i. Current members: Hope Power, Martin Warkentin, Lin Brander
