Hi Lin – we may have a few more librarians join us as Brenda sent out emails to libraries, where we didn’t have a contact person, and invited them to the lunch if they were attending Cascadia. So far Reba Ouimet from University Canada West and Ali de Hann from Acsenda School of Management said they would join us. Ali de Hann is a maybe because she is on the wait list for the conference.

See you there next week.

Debra

Way to go Brenda!

I just want to check in with everyone to ensure that you are all aware that Cascadia ends at 12:45 on Thursday with a bento box lunch. There is no programming in the afternoon. Is everyone still OK with staying for a BCOEL lunch? We can have the booked room for an hour and then have to clear out for another event. At the moment , the schedule says by invitation only but if we want to keep the booking, I’ll change that to make it open to anyone who would like to join us.

Best, Lin

Echoing Amanda’s congratulations, Brenda! The accolade is well deserved. We’ll miss you at Cascadia (thanks for squeezing me in, Amanda!) but you have a good excuse ;)

Sadly, I won’t be able to attend Cascadia or our lunch. I just found out that I’m getting the President’s Distinguished Service Award, and the lunch and awards ceremony are on the 17th. Maybe they’ll open up a spot since I had to cancel my registration, Lindsay.

Hi all,

I was unsure as to whether or not I could sneak away from the library for April 17 & 18, due to my teaching schedule. When I determined I could, the event was sold out! So, I will be at the key contact training session on April 16 from 1-3pm, but will miss the BCOEL lunch on April 18.

I look forward to following along vicariously via twitter #CascadiaLeftBehind ;)

No room for us on Day 1, so the informal lunch meeting will be on Day 2. Does that work for folks?

I’m not sure. It was just something we talked about at the last meeting. Also a chance to talk in person and be welcoming to new people.

Lunch meeting would be good! What would our agenda be? Just asking b/c I'm not sure how far our group will have got on our open publishing project!

Hi Everyone,

I was going to send a message to BCcampus asking if we could have a space for lunch for BCOEL to meet during Cascadia. Or do you think we should schedule a meeting Thursday afternoon, since it seems to end at lunchtime? What do you all think?

Thanks,

Brenda
