Hi Rosario & all,

UBC and SFU are jointly planning an Open Education Week event but we're still working out the details. Erin may have some additional information on this as well.

At SFU, the SFSS is also planning to run an information campaign here during Open Education Week encouraging students to distribute cards to their instructors with information about OER.

And we'll likely be organizing a speaker panel event highlighting some of the work of our SFU OER grant recipients as well. We'll make sure to send you the details for the events calendar once we've nailed down a date/time.

So far, BCIT is planning to officially launch the open.bcit.ca site and open repository, and have an event focusing on the work of BCIT's open grant recipients.

I have a meeting with the Canada OER group tomorrow, and would like to report on what we are planning to do for Open Education Week in BC. I know Robin DeRosa is coming to speak at KPU and Douglas, right? Any other ideas and/or plans for events that week at your institutions?
