Hello all,
The Friday event was coming together nicely. Now I've just received an email notice that BCIT is cancelling the livestream became they can't find a camera operator for that day, and the snow! I am wondering if a bunch of people will just not show up. Brenda,
I am also wondering if it is safe for you to drive in this weather?
Not sure if I'm just whining or if this is a desperate call for help and/or reassurance.
Here are a few things:
- Is there a camera person out there? It is possible that Jasmit would still do live streaming if he has a camera operator, i would need to check with him. However, with the weather, I am concerned that if live streaming is an option, people just won't show up and we do have the room costs and a few extra things to cover.
- It would be nice to have an appropriate catering order rather than way too much food - we need a final number for the catering by noon tomorrow.
- is there someone who could bring a laptop and take care of making sure all the slides are working (Jasmit was going to take care of that)
- I would like to be released from thinking of the logistics so that i can concentrate on the program. Hope or Lindsay - do you have time to work with Alison Moore and Ryan etc. to take care of details - sending notice that livestream is canceled, correcting
BCOER to BCOEL, getting a final confirmed number of participants, figuring out a final budget etc.
