Hi everyone,
I've just locked down a day/time for our Open Education Week event with Brenna Clarke Gray and Autumm Caines. Please save the date for Monday, March 4th from 11am-12pm PST.
I'm just waiting on a bio and photo from Autumm for the events page. We should have registration open by tomorrow or Monday.
Autumm's blog<https://autumm.edtech.fm/> has a number of widely cited posts about generative AI in the classroom, and how these new technologies are sometimes at odds with the shared values of the open education movement. Brenna and the event planning team will be developing questions for Autumm over the next week; feel free to email me with any burning questions you may have and we'll integrate them into the event. Or, you can save them for the Q&A period during the event 🙂
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
Attached is the proposed agenda for our upcoming meeting next week. I met with Clint Lalonde from BCcampus last week and we had a good conversation. He would like the BCOEL Steering Committee’s input for BCcampus’ future plans (item 5 on the agenda).
Draft minutes from our January meeting have been uploaded to the Meeting Minutes<https://bcoel.ca/the-bcoel-steering-committee/steering-committee-minutes/>
Let me know if you have any items for discussion that should be added to the agenda.
See you next week!
