Hi all,
The PD working group members have a draft of the Cascadia Open Summit proposal available for feedback:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ra-PlH3gkohzhveu6MSq5rhWxnbAuOMHAThoJ3K…
Please feel free to add comments or send them via email. (We're still looking for a title!)
I just saw that the deadline has been extended to February 1, so if you send your feedback by Wednesday 30th I can send it in on the 31st. (I'm away on the 1st)
Also, provided the timing works out re: other sessions you might be presenting in, who would be willing to be a part of this roundtable session?
Cheers,
Karen
Hi everyone,
Something has come up and I can't attend the OER Jumpstart meeting today. Is anyone else attending, either in person in Toronto or virtually? If so, would you mind letting me know what happens in the meeting?
Thanks,
Brenda
Hi, all.
Was there ever a generic BCOER google account created? If so, can the keeper of the credentials contact me?
If not, I will set one up so I can set up the Google channel.
Thanks.

Hi Everyone,
I'm looking forward to seeing you all on Monday, 14 January. I've attached the agenda for the meeting to this email. I have also attached a copy of Josie's email re: taxonomy of Open Textbooks so we can discuss that, too.
The meeting will be from 9 until 3:45ish. It will be held in Room 551, BCIT Downtown Campus, 555 Seymour Street, Vancouver. Lin says that coffee and tea will be ready at 8am, so if you arrive early, don't be afraid to come up early. Lunch will also be provided.
Reminder to please bring your own laptop and devices, and have them set up for EDUOROAM if you can.
According to Lin my records, here is who is planning to attend: Martin, Rosario, Darcye, Lindsay, Erin, Stephanie, Caroline, Hope, Brenda, Lin, Debra, Karen, Lauri, and Chantel (spelling). Please let me know if we're missing anyone. For those of you who can't attend, stay tuned for Lin's fabulous notes about what we accomplish.
Jonas has expressed interest in joining us remotely, so we hope to have some sort of remote access to, for those of you who aren't able to attend. Jonas - do you plan to join us for the whole day, or just for certain parts?
I will be out of the office tomorrow because my husband and I decided to drive down that day due to weather forecast for the the Coquihalla (yay winter driving in the mountains!).
See you Monday!
Brenda

I am re-sending the links to the call for expressions of interest for the CARL Visiting Program Officer in OER and the call for nominations for the CARL OER Working Group, as we realize these may have been missed by some in the near-holiday flurry. Please note that we welcome applications from individuals at any academic library in Canada.
