Hello all,
I just recently got involved with BCOEL, so I hope that's all right that I'm
requesting input already!
I'm in the midst of creating an initial proposal to implement some form of OER at my
institution as we currently do not use any open resources. I'm looking for some
figures for the typical honorarium/stipend given to faculty who choose to adopt or adapt
an open textbook to add to my report. If anyone is comfortable sharing the amount that is
standard at your own institution or if you've come across good sources (preferably
Canadian) that include dollar amounts that you can direct me to, I would be very grateful!
We're in a very 'baby steps' stage, but I'm hoping to make a strong case
to get started with open textbooks in the next term or two.
Thanks so much,
Reba Ouimet
