Hi Everyone,

As promised, I've added the recording, chat and resources for this session to the recordings section of the Information Directory. I also referenced all Pressbooks webinars and recordings in the Pressbooks Guide.

Subject: [Bcoel] Recording now available RE: Pressbooks Support in B.C. Post-Secondaries: A Conversation (May 27 11am-12pm)

Hello all,

Thank you to everyone who participated in last Thursday's conversation about Pressbooks support in BC post-secondary institutions. The recording, which includes closed captions, is now available.

I've also attached the text file for the chat, as the attendees and presenters shared some excellent resources. I've included the links from the chat below, so you don't have to comb the text.

Sincerely,

Lindsay

Hello all,

Just a reminder that we will be hosting an informal session on Pressbooks support at B.C. colleges and universities this Thursday from 11am-12pm via Zoom. Colleagues from BCIT, KPU, and UBC will start us off with an overview of Pressbooks support at their institutions. Our friends from BCcampus will also be joining us in case you have any questions for them.

No registration required and all are welcome. The session will be recorded if you're unable to attend in real time; we will share the link on the BCOEL listserv.

We hope to see you there!

-Lindsay

Dear BCOEL community,

Please join us on Thursday, May 27 from 11am-12pm for a conversation about how B.C. colleges and universities are supporting Pressbooks. Speakers from three post-secondary institutions (BCIT, Kwantlen, and UBC) will share some of the successes and challenges they've experienced. We'll leave ample time for Q&A/casual discussion.

Pressbooks is an open source book production platform based on WordPress. Our open education partner, BCcampus, hosts an instance of Pressbooks and offers staff and educators from post-secondary institutions in B.C. and the Yukon a free account

This is an informal session for information sharing and no registration is required (Zoom details provided below). We hope to see many of you there!

Many thanks,

Lindsay Tripp
