Hello,
I thought I would share with you what we do with printed open textbooks in our library
collection. We purchase print copies to show faculty the textbook and we use them for
displays on open textbooks. However, since some of them do end up in our regular
collection, we want to make sure students understand that they are freely available
online, so we put a QR code and note on the front of the textbook (see attached).
Also, because some of the open textbooks come directly from OpenStax and some come from
BCcampus Open textbooks, we now have a series entry for Open Textbooks and it will apply
to any open textbook searched by either title or keyword.
We also now have our first open textbook on Reserve. Some students just like the physical
still :)

Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
