Today, Jan. 22^nd, the Open Education community is celebrating the 10^th anniversary of the publication of the Cape Town Open Education Declaration, a global call to action that has helped inspire thousands of open education advocates across the world.

Last March, a group of open education activists met in Cape Town and came up with recommendations which highlight 10 directions to move open education forward. Check those out at http://www.capetowndeclaration.org/cpt10/ and sign the Declaration while you’re there.
