Dear colleagues,
This is a reminder and an update about the BCcampus Open Education Week event sponsorship program that will be running once again in 2026.
BCcampus has decided that open education events in B.C. that take place
any day in the month of March 2026 are potentially eligible for a sponsorship. This change is in recognition of the way that OE Global has decided to expand the timing of the celebration
in order to be more inclusive of post-secondary systems around the world (see
OE Global's announcement of OE Week 2026).
The
call for proposals will close at 11:59 p.m. Pacific on
Monday, January 19, 2026. To apply, send an email to me, Arianna Cheveldave (
acheveldave@bccampus.ca), describing
the event you would like to host during the month of March 2026. Please also include basic identifying information for the lead applicant, your intended audience for the event, how much funding you would like to request up to $1000, and what specifically you
would spend the money on. If you would like to meet with me to brainstorm or ask any questions before you submit your application, please reach out.
Thank you,
Arianna Cheveldave,
